1° Day : (H.B) Pomposa/Volano

Arrival at the hotel in the early afternoon. Around 14h00 meeting with our assistant, who will give you all the information about the tour and will deliver the bicycles (if required). Departure to Pomposa, along Valle Gafaro and Valle Giralda, after 10 km. approx. you will reach Pomposa. Here you can visit the wonderful Abbey, at the end of the visit you can reach Corte Madonnina, for a wine tasting together with typical products of the territory. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

2° Day: (H.B) Discover the Po Delta

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to discover the Po Delta. First stop at the Abbazia di Pomposa (Pomposa Abbey) and short visit. Departure and cycling through the Valle Giralda and Valle Gafaro, you will reach Taglio della Falce, an access point that will allow you to cross the lower part of Bosco della Mesola and then continue on the cycle path to Goro. A brief stop at the small port and proceeding to Gorino Ferrarese (possibility to join to a motorboat excursion in the Po Delta lasting about 2 hours - booking required).

It is also possible to have lunch in a typical restaurant with fish specialities. Afterwards, we will then follow the Destra Po cycle path towards Mesola.Here you will have two options, depending on your cycling ability, physical endurance and on the light of the day you have at your disposal:- continue until you reach Mesola to visit the Castello Estense (Este Castle) an ancient hunting lodge of the Este family and visit the Museo del Cervo (Museum of the Deer - upon payment);

- or, close to Santa Giustina, leave the cycle path and reach Torre Abà and then continue on to the Bosco della Mesola and finish by returning to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

3° Day: Volano and its pinewood

Breakfast at the hotel and short excursion lasting about 3 hours to the Pinewood of Volano up to Lido delle Nazioni and back. Just outside the hotel, turn left to Lido di Volano. Passing through the bridge, after about 1,200 mt on your left you will see a statue of a little Virgin Mary and next to it you will meet a passage. Enter it and you will find yourself in a very beautiful scenery, the old Volano docking station and you can also go into the pinewood for about 600 mt until you reach the watchtower. From here you can admire the mouth of the Po di Goro. Return to the statue of a little Virgin Mary and continue in the direction of the sea and take the cycle path in the pinewood on the right, which will take you to Lido delle Nazioni. In the pinewood you may be lucky enough to meet deer and fallow deer living in freedom inside the pinewood. You will reach the beach and here you will have the pleasure of admiring the sculptures of the Sea. Continuing on, you will arrive at Lido delle Nazioni, a well-known seaside resort on the Lidi di Comacchio. Return to the hotel. End of services.
