2° day: (H.B) Chioggia - Ca' tiepolo

Breakfast at the hotel and departure. The start of the route through the Po Delta could not be better. The history of the Delta is deeply linked to Venice, which drew its outlines with a gigantic work of hydraulic engineering: Taglio di Porto Viro. Chioggia, well-known as little Venice, has a wonderful cycle path that runs along the Lusenzo lagoon, which is the first section of our itinerary and will take you first to Sottomarina and then to Brondolo. Particular attention should be paid to the crossing of the river Brenta, which you must do by passing over the bridge of the SS Romea (Romea State Road); immediately afterwards turn right and follow the canal of lagoon Po Brondolo, until you reach the Adige river. Here we cross the river on the SS Romea, too, and once past it we take the Destra Adige in the direction of the mouth, a cycle path that we follow until we meet the Via delle Valli. Here, begin twelve kilometres of extraordinary beauty, the route runs through marshes and fishing lagoons that will take you to Po di Levante, at the mouth of which is the ferry that takes you to Porto Levante. Continue cycling along the Via delle Valli, which replicates the landscape of the first part, until you reach Scanarello, a handful of houses close to Po di Maistra. Here you can take the road that leads to Boccasette or the one that leads to Ca' Venier; in both cases you arrive at the bridge that crosses Po di Venezia and leads to Ca' Tiepolo. Accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

3° day: (H.B) Ca' tiepolo - San basilio

After breakfast we set off again on the bike and take the cycle path that leads first to Ca' Mello, a small hamlet of Porto Tolle, and then to Sacca degli Scardovari, with the splendid panoramic road that runs alongside it. Going south, you will find in quick succession Santa Giulia and the pontoon bridge that leads to Gorino Sullam. This section of the itinerary runs on the young lands of the Delta. In fact, the entire eastern part of Ca' Vendramin is formed only after the Taglio di Porto Viro carried out by the Serenissima in the early 1600s. You cycle first on the banks of the Po di Gnocca and then the Po di Goro until you reach Ca 'Vendramin, which is worth a visit. From the top of the embankment dominate on one side the fields cultivated with corn, soy and rice, on the other the river that is slowly preparing to meet the sea. A few more kilometres to reach Rivà, with its solitary bell tower next to the embankment and shortly after San Basilio, a small village rich in history. Arrival at the farmhouse, dinner and overnight stay.

4° day: (H.B) San basilio - Guarda veneta

After breakfast we set off towards Ariano in Polesine. This is the itinerary that tells the history of the Delta, in fact an ancient Roman road passed through San Basilio: Via Popilia. Following the embankment of Po di Goro you reach Ariano in Polesine, a pretty centre with its characteristic Estense-style square and the bridge that will take you to the opposite bank. Once in Emilia we follow the Destra Po upstream, arriving at Serravalle, Berra and Ro Ferrarese, where you cross the bridge over the Po to reach Polesella, on the Venetian shore. You cycle for a few more kilometres towards the sea until you reach Guarda Veneta, where dinner and overnight stay are planned.

5° day: (B.B) Guardaa Veneta - Adria

After breakfast we set off by bike up the Po embankment. Cycling on the Sinistra Po, the route follows the embankment road that follows the great river, from which the landscape is dominated both towards the Po and the countryside beside it. The route continues up to Papozze or Bottrighe and from there it is a short ride to the town of Adria. Visit to the historic centre and accommodation in the rooms. Free time for dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

6° day: (B.B) Adria - Chioggia

After breakfast we set off towards the Po Delta Park and Chioggia, cycling along the banks of Canal Bianco. Following the road that runs along the waterway we arrive at Cavanella Po, from here we head towards Loreo with its lovely centre that deserves a stop before continuing along the dirt road that runs along the canal of Valle Po Brondolo, towards Rosolina until you reach the Adige. Cross the river over the SS Romea bridge and then return along the canal from Cavanella d'Adige up to the Brenta. Here the route returns to the SS Romea to cross the river, too, and then immediately joins the road to Brondolo and Sottomarina. The last section of the route is the wonderful cycle path along the Lusenzo lagoon that will take you to the historic centre of Chioggia. Free time for dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
