1° day: (B.B) Ferrara

Arrival in Ferrara around 18h00. Meeting with our assistant for the delivery of bicycles, the program and information material. Overnight stay at the hotel.

2° day: (H.B) Ferrara - Gambulaga/Medelana Km. 28,00/34

Breakfast at the hotel, visit to the city of Ferrara, departure to Voghiera/Ostellato. Along the way visit to the small Necropolis of Voghenza, to the Delizia del Belriguardo, short stop and departure. In the afternoon, arrival and accommodation in a farmhouse/hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

3° GIORNO:(H.B) Gambulaga - Pomposa/volano Km. 39,00/48,00

Breakfast and departure for Pomposa or Volano. The route winds through low-traffic roads, bike paths, and gravel roads, crossing the countryside of the lower Ferrara area. You'll have the chance to admire Tresigallo, known as the "Metaphysical City," and the small village of Gherardi, famous for its murals. Continuing through Massafiscaglia, you will reach Codigoro and then Pomposa, where you can marvel at the stunning Benedictine Abbey of Pomposa, with its impressive bell tower standing over 50 meters tall.Few people know that it was here that the monk Guido d'Arezzo first codified modern musical notation. Near the Abbey, a tasting of Bosco Eliceo wines—ancient sandy wines—and other local delicacies is optional but highly recommended.Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or agriturismo

4° day: (B.B) Pomposa/Volano - comacchio Km. 37,00/46,00

Breakfast at the hotel, departure following the cycle path along the Po di Volano embankment or through the reclaimed areas of the Valle Giralda, admiring the naturalistic oasis of Canneviè, the Torre della Finanza on the Volano embankment until reaching Lido di Volano. The northernmost Lido of the Lidi di Comacchio, close to the mouth of the Po di Volano and the Sacca di Goro. Continue along the cycle path through the Volano pinewood nature reserve to reach Lido delle Nazioni. The route offers a stretch of wild coastline and views of the sea. From Lido delle Nazioni, crossing the northern Lidi, you reach Porto Garibaldi, one of the ports with the most important fleet in the northern Adriatic for fishing the bluefish. You can taste or buy excellent fresh fish. Thanks to the ferry-boat for pedestrians and bicycles in the canal port, we reach Lido degli Estensi and head towards the Comacchio Lagoon along a stretch of road and then the cycle path. You cannot miss the stop and the panoramic view from the tower on the Logonovo canal. Along the way, surrounded by the water of Valle Fattibello and the Saline, you can enjoy the picturesque spectacle of pink flamingos in flight and other marsh birds. We reach the lagoon village of Comacchio, also known as Little Venice, built on a chain of 13 small islands. Free Dinner in a typical restaurant and overnight stay.
